Fly in to Dublin or Heathrow?

Hello! I'm wondering if you can help me figure out whether or not to fly into Dublin from Seattle. I haven't yet booked anything. I'm still in the planning stages. I am supposed to meet a friend in Dublin and from there we have plans to go do other things) but my biggest question right now is, has anyone done a flight or combination of flights from Seattle to Dublin, and is there one you can recommend? I usually fly British Air directly to London, so I was wondering if it makes more sense to fly to London, stay a couple of days, and then fly to Dublin, or just try to fly directly to Dublin? Thanks for all help and opinions. :-)

Though I don't have any specifics about flying to one or the other, I've flown to Dublin on Delta via Atlanta. What I think you should consider, the price, is one cheaper than the other, and then too, if you go to London and have to then travel to Dublin that leg as to be factored in, and are you going to be traveling to London anyway when you meet up with your friend, if so I'd bypass it for the time being. Also going to London will add one travel day to your itenerary and why do that if you don't have to?

Thank you... that's a very good point about adding London to the itinerary, since there are no plans to be in London otherwise, and after spending two+ hours in the Border Patrol line this past January, I would like to avoid London... BUT, there's a direct flight from Seattle to London, which makes up for a lot of torture on the other end. I will look into the Delta flight, thanks! :-)

Thank you for that thought... that's one of those things to definitely take into account when looking at costs, and it's also not something I would have thought about on my own. Always good to have these kinds of details!
