My husband and I are going to Ireland at the end of May. We will be staying in Kilarney 2 night and Galway for 3 nights. My husband would like to do a half day fly fishing trip. Are there any outfitters in either of these 2 places?
Look through these for what might interest him. I've not personally fished Ireland. I have looked at a lot of pretty water and seen an occasional fish. http://www.discoverireland.com/us/ireland-things-to-see-and-do/listings/?l=1all&la=1all&q=fly&act=-510332989
Check out www.discoverireland.com, the Irish Tourist Board website. Click on the Things to See and Do link at the top, and Angling. Then you can specify what type of fishing your husband wants to do, and you will see a list of everywhere that offers that type.
Be sure and book with an outfitter that furnishes equipment and fishes from a watercraft of some sort. Otherwise you'll have to haul along a rod, some tackle, and bulky waders. Google the Hunting Consortium and email them, here in the US, about your fishing request. We've used them for years for both fishing and hunting world-wide. A half day trip might be difficult to arrange but they can if anyone can.
