Flight Cancelled from London to Rome

Our flight was cancelled leaving London to Rome on March 21st at 19:30, so we have to leave Friday night from Seattle to Londo at 19:35 and land in London at 12:00 but only have a 2 hour layover. What is there to do at Heathrow for two hours. We originally had a 7 hour layover and were going to go into London, now we can't. We are really bummed. Curse you BA!!

Two hours is not that long of a time.

First, find out what gate your flight is leaving from. Next, make sure you stay in the secure area. You will have to go through security again and then get to the gate for boarding. So, you probably won't have much more than an hour to kill--assuming your flight is on time.

Brendon, yes Harrods have teddy bears that have sweaters with a Union Jack flag on it.

Hopefully you will have enough time to connect. I've heard horror stories that some people had more then 2 hours to connect and missed their connection or barely made it

I agree with Frank. Two hours is enough to get to your connection but it won't feel like a long time there.

Rule one of connections

  1. Get to your gate area THEN shop, eat etc.

As sure as you don't you will discover that you have to go through security etc. Plus they start boarding 45 minutes to 30 minutes in advance and if you aren't in the area and on board when they think you should be, they can (and will) give away your seat. Considering the strike threat it's a REAL risk your flight will be overbooked!

I can't tell you how may passengers I have seen over the years come racing up to a gate only to discover thier plane is gone or the airline gave thier seats away when they showed up 5 minutes before departure. Lots of great stories, but when you are holding food and shopping bags from the airport stores the agents tend to have little sympathy.
