Flat in London

I'm looking for a 2 bedroom flat in London in a picturesque area convenient to the tube, for a reasonable price. Does anyone have a suggestion? We'll be staying for 6 nights during July.

What is reasonable to you? 2 bedroom, with all the perks, isn't likely to be my idea of reasonable in July. As well, is it for this year, or next? London in July books out fairly early, and it'll be a little trickier getting something for this year, booking so late. Very end of July is likely going to be easier than earlier.

Check out the London School of Economics. They rent spare/empty dorm rooms and apartments to tourists all year. They have several locations in London- most VERY covienent to the tube and VERY cental for sites. You get a kitchen, ensuite, and access to student facilities like the laundry room, Lounge (game room), etc. Here is their website: http://www.lsevacations.co.uk/

LSE has pretty much no availability prior to July 23rd, and limited until into August.

I am a big VRBO fan. When booking in foreign countries I try to find an American owner. I am old school and like to talk to people on the phone. We stayed in a 2 bedroom flat in the Kensington area and it was ideal. I believe I saw several owned by the same people and our rental was not listed on the site. The company I believe was called London Connections and the are located in Utah. At the time they had about 25 flats. Good luck and have a great trip.

We just booked a two bedroom flat in the Belgravia area for September through londonconnections. When I had a question I was able to call them and actually talk with someone. They were very helpful.
