I'm thinking of travelling to Helsinki and Tallinn next summer (with a brief stop in Amsterdam on the way over). I'm looking for any suggestions for places to go, any outdoor activities that are fun. I'm just beginning with my research, so any info is helpful. Thanks a bunch!

Estonia was my favorite of the three Baltic countries. There are so many great cities you should explore. Get out of Tallinn and check out some of the other cities.

Having been to both cities recently I can make one suggestion for you. When we priced the ferry between Tallinn to Helsinki, the owner of our B&B suggested the hovercraft.
At that time it turned out to be cheaper than the ferry, faster and far more fun. Inquire about it before you travel.

I've been to both, liked Tallin better but only there on a day trip from Helsinki. Would stay longer next time, at least 1 overnight. Helsinki was nice but the best was Stockholm. COnsider adding this, I took the overnight ferry from Stockholm to Helsinki, easy, fun.
