I cannot find on any map or google, etc. the vilages that my wife's grandparents came from. I have the names but have had zero luck finding them. Is there any place to look?

Try a search restricted to the Swedish domain of
.se
It's possible that some of the vowels should have dots over them, or the spelling has changed since your wife's grandparents left their villages in Sweden. What are the names of the villages?

The villages are either Vata or Erimslund in Sweden and Osdalen , near Haldan, in Norway. Thanks.

Sorry; I couldn't find the villages either. It's possible they were names of farms that no longer exist. Could Erimslund be Erikslund instead? I found an Osdalen near Arnot, Norway, but it's about 200 miles north of Halden. I suggest you post questions on genealogy message boards. If you have names, dates of birth, marriage, death, parents' and siblings' names, names of villages, etc., you'll have a greater likelihood of getting some answers.
