Ferry to Ferry Blast through Ireland - need itinerary advice

Four weeks in UK with the front and back end resolved - trouble in the middle. I have two days in Northern Wales and then 5-6 days to be in Scotland near Stirling. Here is what I would like to do - tell me if I am nuts or if this works -

Day 1 - Ferry Hollyhead to Dun Laoghaire, (10am -noon)
drive north/west to Cavan and then Enniskillen - I think this will take me about 4 hours - overnight here

Day 2 - drive to Ulter American Folk Park (welcome comments on if it is worth it) and on to Ballycastle - I think that is about a 3-4 hour drive - I plan to avoid londonderry by going A505 NE to Maghera and then A29 north

Day 3 - spend time on the Antrim coast then drive to Larne (about 1-2 leisurely hours)

Day 4 - early ferry to Scotland

I welcome all input and if you think that there is something better I could see - please let me know!
Thank you!
Sharon

Surely someone out there has an opinion on Wales v Ireland? I'd really like some input...

I guess that if you REALLY want to do Ireland, it could work. However, it seems like you will be spending most of your time in a car. I have spent a lot of time in both Wales and Ireland, and personally I would not do this type of trip.

there are a lot of things to do in north Wales that would probably be less arduous. For instance:

Snowdonia National Park is supposed to be spectacular (though I did not make it there)

Chester has some great medieval buildings

Conway has it's fortified town and castle

The Isle of Anglesey is a very traditional area of Wales and has amazing landscapes.

For another idea, have you considered the Isle of Man? Surprisingly few tourists go there (not British ones, anyways). Ferries from Liverpool, Belfast, and Dublin connect it to the other islands. You can also fly, of course.
