Which would you recommend more? The bike tour is a bit less expensive (and better exercise!) but I also thought maybe a bus tour would help us with any jet lag were experiencing.

A bike tour is better for jet lagm much better to be OUSIDE in sun and air, , its way too easy to doze off on a bus tour!
I have only done Fat Tire in Paris and it was very fun and exciting so it will help keep you awake.

I took the Bike tour in Paris and it was alot of fun. Go for the bike tour. I did one tour on a bus and I fell asleep. lol . Too much traveling.

A bus tour would be the worst thing for jetlag. As Pat said, it's way too easy to doze off sitting on a bus. You do need to be active and keep moving until as close to your normal bedtime on that first day as you can.

I personally have not taken the bike tour, but I have a friend that just got back and raved about it. She went at night and said it was the best thing she did.
