We are a family of four, (the kids are 10 and 16) traveling to Dublin in July. We are having trouble finding family budget accommodations. Can anyone help? I've tried most of the recommended hostels, their family rooms are booked.
Have you tried looking into staying right at Trinity College? They house tourists in the summer months. Trinity offers single rooms with shared bath right up to apartments with ensuite bathrooms which are good for families and groups travelling together.
Rates include a continental breakfast, you can pay extra for a hot breakfast if you want, but continental gives you more than enough food. Daily maid service, clean and quiet.
Great perks are easy walking distance to just about everything you'll want to see, laundry facilities right on site, and you can roll out of bed and get in line for the Book of Kells.
