Planning to spend about three days in this area. Round trip from London, hoping to take train from London and get auto in area. Prefer scenery (hiking) to shopping, any suggestions on where to go, or not to go for that matter?

We've been to Cornwall a couple of times. Here are sights we enjoyed, starting on the north coast and moving west, then moving back east on the south coast: Tintagel Castle, (Headlands Hotel is conveniently nearby and right on the headland),
Zennor, Men-en-Tol, Merry Maidens,
Mousehole (lovely little fishing village),
the Lizard area (Housel Bay Hotel is right on the cliff edge),
little villages and coves on the Lizard and just east of it are fun to explore,
Lost Gardens of Heligan (atmospheric),
Restormel Castle,
Dartmoor and Dozmary Pool.(Arthurian legends).
Cadbury Castle is not far, but I think it is in Devon. Good views from there.
