exchanging $ in Scandinavia

Having read the Rick Steves book on Scandinavia, I know to avoid banks and use the post office for changing my dollars into the various krone. However, I'm wondering if anyone ever orders money before they even leave the US and, if so, how do the exhange rates from travelex or forex.com compare to what I'd receive in a post office in Scandinavia. If my exchange rate would be better if I wait and get the money when I get there, I will. Just thought I'd save myself some travel hassle by getting it in advance. Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated. Thank you. Velda

Travelex has some of the worst rates around! If it makes you more comfortable to go with some money in your pocket, order some from your local bank. Otherwise, just hit the ATM once you get there.
