Just got back from London and my sister and I took an Evans Evans tour to Oxford, Stratford-Upon-Avon & Warwick. The tour was ok. For the most part we were able to see 3 different destinations. BUT if you are not into only having maybe an hour or two at each place, then I would not recommend this company. We only had an hour in Oxford, granted there really is not much to see in Oxford, it was just very rushed. Stratford was similar too. We checked out Shakespeare's house and then had 30 mins to get lunch. We were in Stratford for maybe an hour and 20 mins? The tour thru Shakespeare's house was ok. It's a tourist trap really. It's great if you are a huge fan of Shakespeare. If not, I would have rather spent time wandering around the town. Warwick Castle was cool - it's managed by Madame Tussauds. It's a great place for little kids. We had the most time there - a little over 2 hours and it was back to London.
I don't regret taking the tour. It's great if you don't have a lot of time and don't want to drive or take the train. It's a good company to give you the highlights of place so that you know if you will want to come back to that place to really check it out.
