Eurostar arrival in London question

We're taking the train from Brussels to London next week. Am wondering how long customs takes upon arrival at London? We arrive around 3:30pm and I am estimating our arrival at our apartment at 4:30pm, including a 30 minute tube ticket purchase and ride. Anyone come through customs in London lately? I am hoping for a smooth and quick experience. Thanks!

With Belgium and the UK both being European Union coutnries, I can't believe there would be any immigration at either end. I haven't been on the Eurostar so I'm not sure. If you are arriving by plane in Brussels, you would go through immigration there.

Larry, thanks. I've since found out that there is customs and immigration control on the Brussels side before boarding the train. When departing in London we can just walk straight to the tube!

Larry, Every time anyone travels into or out of the UK there is immigration. The UK is not a Schengen country and does not have free borders. Not all EU countries have free borders, only Schengen ones.

You will be cleared by UK immigration officials in Brussels so will just walk off the train and get under way in London. I understand that from time to time there are spot checks in London but that should not concern you.
