english tea

I know this is a shot in the dark- but last year I brought home several tea bags from my London hotel room. My mom loved them and I found the company online....only to not bookmark it and never find it again. I wanted to surprise her-but...... any ideas(I was with a school group and we were not at our assigned hotel- so I cant contact hotel either)

In most of the hotels I have stayed in they have had Twinings. We have so many tea brands here that it might be hard to pin the right one down!

Typhoo and PG Tips are two that are served a lot. Were the tea bags round or square?

The bags were square ,and the company does have a website...if I could just remember it.

By any chance was it Taylors of Harrogate or Fortnum and Mason. These are some of my favorites. I also suggest Yorkshire. However, you have to special order Fortnum and Mason from the United States.

Tetley's?
If that's not it, browse the UK Tea Council directory to see if you recognize anything.

Hi Joanne,
the probability is that it was indeed Twinnings. If that is true it will almost certainly be thier English Breakfast or Everyday ranges (out of the 86 versions they apparently do).

Here's the link:

Cheers
Steve.

You could also check Brooke Bond, Sainsbury, Clipper and Marks and Spencers Teas. That should just about complete the list. Nothing like an excellent cup of tea!

How about contacting the hotel and asking who their supplier is?
