Need to bus from Derry to Kerry airport on a Monday morning.
Looking at taking a 9:30 AM Eireann bus from Derry arriving at Kerry at 18:00. Long day on the bus, which is fine, but have a few questions. Do the buses run on time? We will have 15 minutes for each of the two transfers (Galway from the 64 bus to the X51 and at Limerick to #14 route) -- will this probably work? Thank you!

I used Bus Eireann and Ulsterbus a few weeks ago for my trip; I went from Dublin to Derry, Derry to Belfast, and Belfast to Dublin all by bus and they were all pretty much on time. Even with a bit of traffic generated by construction on the Dublin to Derry route, we arrived 15 minutes ahead of schedule. That being said, if I was dependent on getting to the airport by a specific time, I think I'd be a little concerned about the 15 minute transfers...what if the bus breaks down, what if there is major traffic? Will there be another bus you can get if you miss the one you are supposed to take? You may have already looked into this, and I'm not sure what the cost difference would be...but what about taking the bus from Derry to Dublin, then flying from Dublin to Kerry airport?
