We will be staying in Edinburgh (4 days or so) and flying out of Glasgow (GLA) airport. The flight departs at 2pm. What is the recommended way to get from Edinburgh to the Glasgow airport? Specifically, what types of connections will be required? (or is there one way, such as an 'airport bus', that goes directly through from Edinburgh to GLA?) We will be traveling 'rolling light' - one rolling bag each, plus a med. sized backpack (daypack).

Keri - You can take the train Edinburgh to Glasgow Airport. You will change train stations in Glasgow. It is about a 10 minute walk from Glasgow Queen Street to Glasgow Central Station. The fare is £14.20. The train stop for the Glasgow Airport is Paisley Gilmour Street. From there I believe you can catch a bus to the Airport (It has been a few years since I was at the Glasgow Airport). Alternatively, you can catch an airport bus in Glasgow City Centre near the train station that you arrive at from Edinburgh. I've done the reverse many times. I have also caught the bus from George's Square very near the Queens Street station. Ask at the Edinburgh TI and they will help you out. Also, there is Citilink bus direct from Edinburgh with no changes. Check out their website. http://www.citylink.co.uk/i Pam
