I'll be going from the airport to India street, which is a ways from Waverly station and the bus area. What are the taxi prices and how far, really, would it be to walk from Waverly bridge to India Street? I travel with a backpack. Thank you.

The airport is 8 miles from India Street, so it wouldn't cost that much.

Alternatively, you can take the bus from the airport to Waverly Station and then walk 15 to 20 minutes to your destination. Pam

Sue, I would also suggest taking the Shuttle Bus (double decker, as I recall) from the airport to Waverly Street station, and then Taxi from there to India Street (it's not far). That should be a less expensive alternative to taking a Taxi from the airport. That's the same method I used when I was in Edinburgh last year. My Hotel was on Dalkeith Road, which is a few miiles from Waverley Station. I also travel with a Backpack, and I found that was an easy solution, and not that expensive. While I probably could have walked to the Hotel, after a long international flight, suffering jet lag and hauling my Backpack and other kit, there's NO WAY I wanted to walk so didn't care what the Taxi cost was!
