I am considering staying in one of two apartments in Edinburgh. They are , the St. Giles Apartments and The Knights Residence. Any recommendation on one or the other or a better alternative.

Sorry, Larry, I've not stayed in either, but I can comment on location. St. Giles says they are located right on the Royal Mile whereas it looks like Knights Residence is over past Grassmarket. Both areas are touristy. If you want to be right on the Royal Mile go with St. Giles. But if you want to be bit off the main drag, then go with The Knights Residence. Edinburgh is not a huge place and both locations are fine for touring and going to good restaurants. Pam
