EDA, Sweden

We're considering a trip to NW Sweden, village of EDA to do some ancestry research. Not just sure where or how to get started on trip planning, including how to make the most of our time there to search ancestors and also experience some things of interest in Sweden. Wondering how to get started and what to plan for.

While I know nothing about that particular community, my experience in rural Sweden is that the settlements tend to be very small, rather spartan and widely dispersed... or, by contrast, extremely modern, particularly if on the outskirts of a larger city (which I don't see on the map near Eda...). You will most likely need a rental car. I'm guessing outdoor activities are what's available.

Looks like the closest international airport is Oslo. That city is worth at least 2 or 3 days of your time.
