easyHotels

I was informed that 'easyhotels' in England are decent and cheap places to stay. They look pretty good on the internet. Any feedbacks or comments. Thanks. Jim

Never stayed in one personally, though there was a female poster on this board that has a couple times, and she was very satisfied with the basic room they offer. "Basic" is an understatement, perhaps. You sometimes don't even have a window in your room! I wouldn't ever want a room with no window, it would be too depressing. Though I have stayed overnight on board Queen Mary in Long Beach for a week in a cabin with no windows and it was fine. I certainly didn't wake up early due to daylight!! If you want to stay at easyHotel, book early. Prices are low a few weeks out or more, but go up as the hotel fills up. I've seen rooms go for as little as 25 pounds a night, which is about as "cheap" as you may find in central London. If I were staying there, I'd get the remote control for the TV for 5 pounds extra a night (I think that is the price) so at least I'd have something to do while laying in bed before going to sleep. The walls are ORANGE. If you don't like that color don't stay there. My wife saw the photos and said she would hate it because of that color. But if you're traveling solo it might be a good way to go in my opinion.

Think rooms aboard a cruise ship. The rooms are basic, but if you get one with no window, it gets dark when you turn off the light. The bed is basic, and you get basic things to sleep. If you don't mind that (and a tiny room) then go for it. :)
