Easter in Belfast

Hi,
We will be in Northern Irland for three days in early April. Have two question:

1.- How is this time of the year, around Easter, any different in this part of Ireland. Closures, festivities, etc.
2.- Any recommended acomodations in or near Portrush?

We plan to start in Belfast and end in Derry, or the other way around, then head to Dublin for the flight back home.

Might better start in Derry (or Londonderry, depending upon who you are speaking with) and work your way to Belfast if you are departing from Dublin.
