So a friend of mine has decided that the East Highland Trail needs to be hiked in late April and early May and has talked me into going with him. We're flying into Edinburgh, training to Fort William and then hiking for about a week. I'm looking for general advice on hiking in the Highlands, outdoor stores and transporting backpacking equipment by plane. Specifically, has anyone taken a Pocket Rocket or similar "screw on" style stove and purchased fuel there to use? The fuel canisters I've found on-line look like they will work but it would be nice to know for sure. (Because you can't transport fuel on the plane.) Thanks,

Thanks for the heads-up. I figured it was pretty specific for RS boards but it paid off. I'll look into that site.
