Earlier Dublin pub crawls with kids

We are traveling to Ireland in June with our nine year old daughter. I definitely want to do a guided pub crawl in Dublin. Are there any family friendly pub crawls later in the afternoon or earlier in the evening that allow kids to come along, so I don't leave my wife and daughter on there own and do it by myself?

Hello Michael, Not that I am aware of - virtually all the "pub crawls" require participants to be 18 years or older. To be honest, I don't think your daughter would find much of interest in a pub crawl. If you are interested in the musical aspect, some of the restaurants do have live music during dinner.

Not wanting to in any way to put down Claudia's suggestion, but I see 2 issues with it, it starts at 7:30 (your 9 year old can't be in the pub after 9:00) and probably goes on to closing time, and secondly it seems to only do Temple Bar which is the 'touristy' area of Dublin, an area that lots of local people would avoid. Don't know if you can get a guided pub crawl at the time you require? Can I suggest though your own pub crawl itinerary, start in Toners in Baggot Street, walk across the road to Doheny & Nesbitts, walk 100m to O'Reillys corner of Merrion Row, go to the shared toilet and emerge in Foleys also on Merrion Row, walk across the road to O'Donoghues also on Merrion Row. That's 5 class (imo) pubs within 150m of each other, now if you're still thirsty after your 5 pints you could head up to the Dawson Lounge on Dawson Street, the smallest pub in Dublin and 5 mins walk from O'Donoghues, from there to Kehoes in South Anne Street a 2/3 minute walk from Dawson Lounge, and from there to Bruxelles and McDaids in Harry Street, 2 pubs across the road from each other and a 2/3 minute walk from Kehoes. I make it you now have 9 pints, so if you're still thirsty you're not too far away from Temple Bar, The Palace is your only bar here in my opinion, but at this stage they'd probably all look the same anyway! Enjoy your stay with us.
