In late May I plan to spend 2 nights in York and 2 in Durham. I am looking for a B&B within walking distance of the Minster in York and the Cathedral in Durham. The Coach House or Ardmore in York and the Victoria Inn in Durham are within my budget and seem to be well located. Does anyone have any information about these or have other suggestions?

Diane, last fall my husband and I stayed at the St. Raphael Guest House (mentioned in Rick's book), a very short walk to the Minster in York. The owners Dom and Zoe are very knowledgeable and helpful; and your breakfast is cooked to order, with two different types of bread freshly baked there each morning.
