Dublin to Glendalough to Abbeyfeale

My friends and I will be driving from Dublin to Abbeyfeale which I believe is in County Limerick. When we leave Dublin we would like to head south first to visit the Wicklow mountains. We would like to then travel directly from Glendalough to Abbeyfeale as quickly as possible without making any further stops except to break for lunch. Could someone give me some advice about the best routes to take? We have the whole day to make the trip but would love to reach Abbeyfeale before 4 or 5 PM. Thanks in advance for your help!

Go to www.viamichelin.com and look at each leg of your trip there. It will give you a choice of the most scenic route, the shortest/most direct route, and their preferred route. It's easy to look at the choices and modify the route to see how long each takes. Add 25% to their time estimates, though, to get a more accurate picture of the real time it takes. It will also estimate the cost of tolls and gas for the trip.

Here you go Susan, just type in GLENDALOUGH and ABBEYFEALE and it will give you the exact route, and the timing (3 hrs 36 mins) will be accurate if you are driving directly and within the speed limits. A good bit of it motorway with one toll (€1.90 I think), enjoy the trip.
