I'm hoping to visit Bru Na Boinne and Clonmacnoise on the way to Cong. We have reservations for Ashford Castle so an overnight part way is not an option. Any feedback and specific route suggestions would be appreciated. We'll be traveling on Saturday, September 29th. Thanks! Nancy

You can get actual routing and driving time estimates, including where you want to stop off, at www.viamichelin.com. I ran this route for you, but screwed something up and was unable to make it into a reasonable URL to link it here. The driving time they estimate, though, was just over 3.5 hours, which I would add 25% to, plus the amount of time you will be stopped.
