where is the best pubs to go to in Dublin.

Head towards the Temple Bar area. Pubs are all over the place. Best pub is so subjective that it is almost impossible to get a consensus. Best for music, best for beer, best to pick up someone, best to . . .. So many questions.

Not sure if you a member of AAA. The recent issue of their magazine had a good article on pubs in Dublin. Maybe one of your friends is a member of AAA and can lend you the magazine. Edwin

I went to Temple Bar one weekend evening. The place was a zoo and the crowded bars weren't like pubs at all - more like big bars in any city. I did manage to find some basement level pubs that were quieter and more like a traditional pub. I'd suggest asking a TI or local for some pub choices that aren't in Temple Bar.
