Dublin on Sunday

I've read up on Dublin, what would you all suggest I not miss? I'll arrive 1630 Sunday and leave Wednesday, so only 2 full days. Must leave time for the pubs.... :) Thanks!

Kilmainham Gaol is one of my definites. Also save time for a walk down Grafton St. Every time I have been in Dublin - even in February - there have been street musicians. Skip the Guinness Storehouse.

The national museum is amazing. We liked the Guiness storehouse pretty well, just be aware it's more of a multimedia exhibit that a real brewery experience. I regret not going to Kilmainham Gaol, and intend to do so on our next visit (hopefully next year.). The Book of Kells exhibit is very worthwhile.

Get your Guinness in the plentiful pubs and forget the tour. Away from the madness of Temple Bar try the Cornerstone pub on Wexford street. Other things to see in Dublin, if the weather is nice picnic in St Stephen's Green. As far as history seeing the Book of Kells and the Great Hall at Trinity College is something I wouldn't miss. Great city. Enjoy.

I really liked the National Museum of Archaeology (closed Mondays), the National Gallery, and the National Library (closed Sunday), especially the WB Yeats exhibit. All free. I also enjoyed the musical pub crawl (details in RS book).
