Hi, we are returning a rental car to Dublin airport at end of our stay in Ireland, and need a recommendation for reasonable, clean hotel with shuttle to airport. We want to return the car the day before, then just stay at the hotel and shuttle to catch a mid morning flight to US

I know that Bewleys Airport Hotel, has a regular shuttle to the airport, about 5 minutes from airport, haven't stayed in it but I'd expect it's fine and also cheap. Enjoy your stay in Ireland. http://www.bewleyshotels.com/dublin_airport/

I stayed in the Bewley's 2 years ago. Nice hotel, reasonable prices, the shuttle is very convenient. But, just to let you know, there's nothing else by the hotel, just highways and some horses. If you want something to eat, you can either eat at the hotel restaurant or catch the shuttle to the airport and then a bus into town.

I stayed at Bewley's in May the night before my flight back to the US and everything was fine. Besides the restaurant there is what I would call a small buffet where you can get soup,salad,sandwich's, dessert etc. It is less expensive than the restaurant and unless you are wanting a full sit down meal it is more than adequate.
Shuttle to the airport is good,runs about every 15-30 minutes.
