Is something happening in Dublin in Mid September?
Hostel prices have gone up an average of $10 since I was first looking two weeks ago. Also, there are suddenly a lot fewer rooms available.

There are several MAJOR events going on in Dublin in September. There is Horse Racing Sweepstakes named "Tattersals". There for the Arts there is the Dublin Fringe Festival (Arts). But the biggest event going on in Dubs from about: 6 Sept thru 21 Sept is: Guinness All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championships 2008; All-Ireland Senior Camogie(female) Championships 2008 & the Bank of Ireland Senior Football (GAA) Championship. My suggestion is that if you are planning on staying in Dubs in September you may want to go ahead and book while you can. Check out: discover.ireland.com
