dublin,england, scotland

We booked the round trip fare in and out of Dublin because it was a good deal....If I wanted to take a cheapie little flight which airline is decent....I am trying to experience as much as possible in many places so doing 3-4 days in each place except 5 in Ireland is what we want to do...we have our place to stay in Ireland near cork.....england we want to experience southern england(avebury, tor, bath crop circles) and then drive up to scotland....then back to Wales for the ferry.....majority of our stay in Ireland will be at end of trip because we are leaving from there....we want to go to aran islands....any advice is great.

Emily, could you give more information on your plans for Ireland? You're flying into and out of Dublin (east coast), staying near Cork (south), and want to go to the Aran Islands (far west)? You might want to look at www.viamichelin.com to get an idea of how long the drives are between these places and any others you might have on your list to see if you can practically fit them into your timeframe.

Emily, I am not sure of your definition of "decent" and "cheapie", but Ryanair flies to mostplces from Dublin and is about as cheap as you will get - provided you can live within their baggage restrictions. We used them from Bristol to Dublin last year and they were punctual and we had no problem - except a loooong walk at Dublin Airport to the immigration desk and baggage claim. Aer Lingus is the national carrier of Ireland. I have never flown with them, but I know my sister has been quite happy with them and recently flew to Orlando from, I think, Edinburgh, with them and claimed they were by far the cheapest.

Emily,

Certainly consider the budget permutations. One other thought a little different think about flying Aer Arann. Looks like they fly from Cork to Bristol which might be very useful for what you want. May be slightly more expensive for airfare but may not spend money to get to/from airports on either side

You could look on Flybe.com or EasyJet for cheap flights. Not sure if they fly to all of your destinations, but that's who we are using for our short hops during our upcoming trip to Ireland/N. Ireland/Scotland...

We just returned from Ireland and Scotland, using both RyanAir and Aer Lingus to make some smaller flights. Both were very reliable and inexpensive.
