My husband, teenage daughter and I are going to Dublin for a week in April to visit my other daughter who is attending University College of Dublin for a semester. I have apartments researched and cannot decide whether to stay near Phoenix Park, Guiness Storehouse, at the Grand Canal near Baggot St.,or Stillorgan. Also, cannot figure out how far Stillorgan is from the center of everything and how long it would take to get to the center of it all. When do buses, taxis, etc. stop running at night? We also plan to go overnight to London. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. (Are there areas of Dublin to avoid?)

Guiness Storehouse and Phoenix Park are too far out from other sites. They are not centrally located. Have you checked a Dublin city map? You might try a Streetwise Map of Dublin to help you plan.
