We will be flying home out of Dublin airport on a weekday (11:15 a.m.). How far in advance will we need to get to the airport? What is the best method of getting to the airport from downtown Dublin -- bus, cab? How much time will it take to get there? Thanks!

I would suggest the airport bus. I don't believe they start running until about 7 am. I'd plan on being on the first one that passes near you. The early bus will have less risk of traffic problems and it should take less than an hour. You can check the schedule on line and figure out which airport bus line you should take. A cab will take about the same amount of time and cost considerably more than two bus tickets. They both will drop you off right next to the terminal. If there are 4 or more, the cab may be competitive. The Dublin airport is a busy airport and being there 2 or 3 hours before your flight is not too early.
