We are flying into Dublin and have 3 hours to spend before taking the ferry to UK.What would be the best use of our time,we would like to go to a pub to eat at some point,any suggestions?

Unfortunately, you aren't going to have a lot of time for sightseeing. It will take some time to get through immigration and get your bags, stop at the ATM, wait for public transport into town (30 min. or so if no traffic problems), and get to the ferry port. Keep in mind that you will have your luggage with you. How much ahead of the ferry time do you have to be at the port?

Thirty prior to departure. There's no time to do anything besides miss the boat.

Maybe there is a pub at the ferry landing?
