Hey everyone! I am currently studying abroad in Dublin, which means I have already done most of the general tourist things and most of the things in Rick's Dublin book. So, for all you adventurers out there, do you have any recommendations of unusual, unique, or back door things to do in Dublin? Thanks!
Have you done Number Twenty Nine, Lizzie, a little gem of a Georgian house, restored to c 1800

I don't know if you have done these already but St. Michans Church and Glasnevin Cemetery are certainly worth a visit. The population of Glasnevin is larger than the current population of Dublin and you have Kavanaugh's Pub(grave diggers pub) next door.
Lizzie, I know zoos aren't for everyone, but I really enjoyed the Dublin Zoo. It is huge! I went in the late morning and saw the zookeepers feeding several different animals - great pictures!
Check to see if milkandcookiestories is still happening every second Tuesday of the month at Exchange Dublin, a collective arts center. I'd also checkout the brownbreadmixtape blog via wordpress.com. On Twitter, Facebook and Youtube as well. Sounds right up your alley. Slainte.
Thanks for all the responses! I definitely have some new ideas of what to do :) You are all so helpful!
I didn't really like the Temple Bar area. The bars there are too big and loud. In the area, however, there are some "downstairs" pubs. They are in basements with a small stairway from street level, very little signage. I found those were more like a real pub, quieter and local. If you're in that area and want to grab a pint and conversation in a pub rather than a noisy bar, they are a decent choice.
You might check out the Temple Bar Farmers Market on Saturdays from 9-5. It is in Meeting House Square which is more like an alley that runs off of Dame Street and then back towards Fishamble Street. This is just a block or so south of Christ Church Cathederal. Great artisinal bread, cheese, sausages, even a fresh oyster bar.
