Driving Galway to Belfast thru Armagh

I am considering driving from Galway to Belfast thru Armagh in mid June. Yahoo Maps estimates that it is a 4½ hour drive. Does anyone know about this drive? What is the road like? Can it really be driven in 4½ hours? Thank you. Mike Mt. Vernon Missouri USA

I'm assuming you mean Galway? Most of the way you will be on N roads, which are like our two-lane highways. And no, you can't really drive it in 4.5 hours. Even on good roads, driving in Ireland can be slow. I would add about 25% to the estimated driving time. You're going to want to stop for breaks, lunch, photo ops or whatever along the way, after all.

LOL! Yes I meant Galway (I made the correction). Thank you for the information. That helps me alot. Are there gas stations along the way?

Yep, you'll find gas stations everywhere, many with little convenience stores just like here. You probably won't need to stop for gas very often. Cars there get much better mileage than they do here.
