We will have a GPS that I believe will get there fast, but we'd would love to hear from others about the best routes/drives from Heathrow to St. Ives. We're not in a big hurry to get there (beyond making the drive within a day), so we'd be grateful for your ideas regarding towns to visit, sites & sights that are must-sees on the way to St. Ives, etc. When we leave St. Ives, our destination after that will be Chipping Campden, so suggested routes from St. Ives to the Cotswolds would also be appreciated. There are lots of scenic and rural places to see between London/St Ives/Cotswolds- how much time do you have for that part of your trip. When do you arrive at heathrow? Trying to drive from Heathrow to St Ives could take most of a day if you do a scenic route without stopping for experiences. Or you could take 2 or 3 days if you do it my way. Ditto on the return. Frankly in that part of the country, i wouldnt rush, relax and enjoy, take your time
