I'll be spending about 3 weeks near Oxford in Summertown on a college study trip and wanted to visit a local church or two for Sunday service while there. I prefer to wear slacks instead of a dress. Would slacks and a nice blouse be appropriate for most churches? I would probably be attending a protestant church if that matters.
Used to be Coca Cola and Disney ruled the world. Now it Levi Strauss.
Trust me you'll be fine with slacks and a blouse. Enjoy.
That will be absolutely fine.
Slacks and a nice blouse would be perfect. I'm glad you were concerned enuf to ask.
Thanks everyone. I feel better now.
I know that some "locals" answered, but I lived there for 7 years and was active in the Methodist church and the Church of England at different times. I would never have worn slacks to either one for regular services. I didn't see any other adult women wearing them, either. Things might have changed since I was there, but I would err on the side of caution. Perhaps, the fact that I lived in villages made a difference.
