Looking for a B&B in the Dornoch area of Scotland. Any suggestions or experiences?
Thx
I've not stayed there. They were full when I tried to book. The reason was because there was a golf tournament that weekend. So, book early if you can. I think it's a lovely town. If you're a golfer you'll want to check out the course. ; ) Here's a good link if you've not already found it. http://www.visitdornoch.com/ Up the road past Golspie is Dunrobin Castle, home of the Sutherland clan and it's a great tour with beautiful gardens. There's a rather odd museum in the gardens that you won't want to miss as well. Just further up the road is a Broch. It's nice for a quick visit and you can walk down to a stony North Sea Beach. http://www.dunrobincastle.co.uk/ Other areas to explore would include the Black Isle or up to either north coast - Betty Hill has a museum on the clearances - or up the coast toward Wick. If you have lots of time, go to Orkney. Pam
