Doolin Pubs

Is the trad music of the Doolin Pubs not to be missed even if we'll be going to Dingle for three nights? What about the medieval banquet? Is the heft price worth the experience or is it a tourist trap?

Between Galway and Doolin there is a village called Kinvara that Fodor's praises. Is it worth a stop?

As you can see by this and my last post, I'm fine tuning "objectives" for my May trip.

If you really love Irish music you will love the pubs in Doolin. Not much else there though. You can also often find music in many other pubs which will be closer to where you are. No matter what you do you'll enjoy your stay.

I enjoyed Doolin, and in fact it was the best music I heard while in Ireland, and I made a point to go to pubs every night to enjoy the music. If you are a big music fan, then it would probably be worth your while, otherwise probably not.

That said, it is a convenient night stop between Dingle and Galway, and is very close to the Cliffs of Moher.

I might make the stop in Kinvara if you feel you have the time. Otherwise, it is not that different from other small seaside villages.
