No transfer needed...get off at Holborn station. Click here to go to the London Underground page for a route planner and maps. Piccadilly line is the dark blue one.

You can take the piccadilly line to the Holborn station and walk to the museum from there.

If I recall correctly the sign outside Holborn stn indicates it is a 6 min walk to the British Museum.
