We've rented a house in Kenmare for 5 days from April 27 - May 2. We'd prefer to eat out every night. Anyone have any recommendations i Kenmare or close by? We're also hikers:
any good walks to recommend. Also appreciated, any interesting day-outings from our house. We have a car.

Jane: Several years ago while staying in Kenmare, we stumbled upon the Blue Bull Pub in the nearby picturesque village of Sneem. We have very fond memories of their seafood chowder and the friendliness of the patrons. When I asked the waitress about Gaelic football (it was on the TV), I soon had several gentlemen pull up chairs and explain the rules for me. Turns out "their boys" had a game that night at their nearby stadium and they invited us to join them. We had previous plans and I'm still kicking myself that we didn't change them. What a friendly, fun place with good food to boot!
