Dining in Bath

It has been a while since we were Bath. Any recommendations for pubs and/or restaurants?

Do you know if the Raven Pub allows kids/is kid friendly? We will be in Bath with 11/15 yr olds in July.

If you look at the Raven website at www.theravenofbath.co.uk, you will see that it states "No children or dogs".

Some pubs have licences restricting them to adults, while at others it is a marketing decision made by the owner. I don't know The Raven, but it might be a quite unsuitable place for children.

The Huntsman is pretty good. Great portions, nice atmosphere, tasty food.

The Wife of Bath is very good. I love Sally Lunn's . . . the oldest house in Bath.

We loved Sally Lunn and you can tour the ancient kitchen at certain times. Had an excellent chicken dish with leeks and Stilton Cheese. It was a "dining at Grandma's house" experience. Kids would enjoy it.
