Can you offer suggestions on the best way to get from Dingle Ireland to Edinburgh Scotland. Ferry, plane?
It looks like Aer Lingus flies non stop to Edinburgh. Saw a flight for this month for $137 on Expedia. And it's an hour and a half flight. The drive via the ferry to Larne is minimum 11 hours straight driving. It's about 2 and 1/4 hours Dingle to Shannon. It's fours to the Dublin airport and the cheapest ticket was $161. Although, this surprises me as I used to see cheap flights to Ireland on Ryan Air, but that's probably from a different airport. If it were me, I'd do Shannon. : ) But maybe someone has actually done the trip.... Pam
As Pamela said, Aer Lingus flies non-stop from Shannon to Edinburgh. Both Aer Lingus and Ryanair fly non-stop from Dublin to Edinburgh. Unless you'll be visiting Dublin right before going to Edinburgh, fly out of Shannon.
Kerry Country airport is much closer to Dingle - 57km vs 175 km. Aer Lingus has flights from there to Edinburgh with a change in Dublin. Depending on how you are travelling from Dingle to the airport Kerry might be the better choice.
