Dingle and Kenmare

My wife and I are driving through the West of Ireland in June and have booked two nights in Dingle and three nights in Kenmare. I am wondering if we ought to do three nights in Dingle and two in Kenmare. Want to do Dingle peninsula, Ring of Kerry and Ring of Beara- but am a little leery of crowds/buses in Kerry. Also, have read so many glowing accounts of Dingle and wonder if we ought to spend more time there.
Thanks

If you decide to do only the Ring of Beara and skip the Ring of Kerry, then it would be good to cut one night from Kenmare and add it to Dingle. That will give you one more day to explore Slea Head and one more evening to enjoy traditional music sessions in one or more Dingle pubs. If you do both the Ring of Beara and the Ring of Kerry, then three nights in Kenmare seems like a good choice.

We live part time near Kenmare on the Ring of Beara. I would do 3 nights in Dingle, which is actually two days: hiking, driving Slea Head, and going to the Blasket Museum (it's great). Dingle is a great town (more touristy than Kenmare, but in a nice counter culture way). Then get up early and drive the ring of Kerry (it's got a lot of buses, but so does Slea Head). Spend that night in Kenmare, then drive the Ring of Beara the next day and spend the second night in Kenmare. I love Kenmare and the Beara, so my recommendations are based mostly on the distances involved. If you are a serious hiker, you should climb Mount Brandon near Dingle. Beara is quiet and other-worldly, just beautiful.
