My husband and I would like to travel from Dublin to see the Cliffs of Moher and Dingle. We'd like to leave Dublin, see the cliffs, stay overnight in Dingle, and return to Dublin the following day. We would prefer not to drive. Are we crazy? Is this trip even possible? I know it would be a jam-packed trip but we only have a total of 3 days in Ireland. We did not know about the beauty of Dingle until we read Rick's guidebook and watched the video. We look forward to hearing from you!
This company does an one day tour from Dublin:

Drive.
I'd have to say you're crazy. ;) I see no point in going to Dingle for one night when you'll be spending most of the two days around it in transit. And without a car, I don't know how you would do it. A tour is probably your best bet. Maybe you could find one that also takes you to the Burren or some other place on the way. Dingle really is beautiful, and my favorite place in Ireland, but there's no point going all the way there if you don't have time to really see it.
I agree that there is no point in going to Dingle just to spend one night. Dublin to the Cliffs is going to be a good three hours+, and from there, Dingle is another 5. When will you see anything? And there are tours of the Cliffs from Dublin, but not one that includes Dingle. So if you hope to do both you will have to drive.
