We will be driving in Ireland during last week of Sept to mid-Oct. How many daylight hours (per day) will we have during that time period?
To be exact, look up on website Sunsets and plug in Ireland and this will give you sunrise and sunsets for each month. If I remember correctly from last visits, it was approximately twelve hours of daylight but that website will give you exact. Enjoy"
On October 1 in Dublin, the sun rises at 7:26 AM and sets at 7:03 PM -- 11 hours 37 minutes of sunlight. That's if you ever see the sun through the overcast ...
The US Naval Obseratory website will give you pretty exact sun (and moon) rise/set times anywhere in the world. Just be careful in terms of time zones as you will need to specifiy time shift from ZULU time and correct for Summertime/Daylight Savings time. Use "From B" by inputing lat-long coordinates of the exact (nearest minute) location of interest. http://aa.usno.navy.mil/data/docs/RS_OneYear.php
Thanks to all for taking the time to rspond so quickly to my question. Now we can plan our driving time better. Regards.
Eileen
