Day Tour of the Cotswolds from London

Can anyone recommend a tour company for the Cotswolds? I will be in London in Sept and I will have a free Saturday. Rick Steves suggest the Mad Max tours but their Cotswolds tour doesn't run on Saturdays. Thanks for the help!

Some would think the Cotswolds are at the outer limit of what can be comfortably done in a day trip from London. In 2005 Celtic Horizons (www.celtichorizons.com) did day trips to the Costswolds from Bath, perhaps they do them from London, you could check their website.

Check with Evans Evans and Golden tours. They do lots of different day trips out of London. You could also take the train to Stratford-upon-Avon. Then do a 1/2 day trip from there to the Cotswolds. Then take a late train back to London.

I took an all-day tour of the southern end of the Cotswalds out of Bath last fall. You could take a train to Bath and catch that trip (I think it was Mad Max, but check on this). The northern end of the Cotswalds can be reached from Moreton-in-Marsh or Stratford-upon-Avon. If you can find a an all-day tour from London, it would be a very long day and you probably would see only a few of the towns. The area is beautiful, so I hope you can get there.

Hi Colleen, I know that Frames Rickards Sightseeing, Evan Evans Tours and Golden Tours offer day tours to the Cotswolds. They usually start around 8am and you get back around 6:30pm. If you check with your hotel the first day you get to London they could book a tour for you.
