We are staying in a condo in Dartmouth England (Devon)for 1 week next fall and plan on using it as our base for day trips. Anything we should make sure we include. We plan on a day on Dartmoor (husband is a Sherlock Holmes fan)and another day in Plymouth and the Plymouth Gin Distillery tour. Is is feasible to try to do Tintagel on the north Cornish coast from Dartmouth as a day trip? Is Agatha Christie's home Greenway near Torquay worth a visit?

The Dartmouth Steam Railway and River Boat Company has a fun loop that (If you start in Dartmouth) begins with a nice cruise up the Dart to Totnes, followed by a bus trip from Totnes to Paignton, followed by a steam train ride from Paignton to Kingswear, and a passenger ferry across the Dart to Dartmouth. You can stop at Goodrington for a day at the beach, or at Greenway to visit Agatha Christie's house. We took the "Round Robin" in August and thoroughly enjoyed it. Dartmouth is really gorgeous.
