Has anyone stayed at Danhostel in Copenhagen City? If so, what did you think? Is there somewhere else you would recommend? It is my husband and I and we are NOT into loud party scenes but would like to be centrally located and stay somewhere as cheaply as possible - We will only be in Copenhagen one night and would love any advice on where to stay and what is a MUST see while in town.. my husband is an architect and thus very interested in cool structures... Also, we will be arriving by ferry from Olso, and would love any info on the cost of that service with our Eurail passes or other thoughts on getting from Olso to Copenhagen.. THANKS!!
I don't know if it's too late for this advice. We just returned home from a trip to Stockholm, Copenhagen, and Reykjavik. We rented an apartment through Apartmentincopgenhagen.com and had a really good experience. I don't know if it will be as cheap as a hostel, but we stayed at Gothersgade and it was perfect. It was quiet but very close both walking or biking to all the sites. Keep in mind Copenhagen is not a BIG city. It is very walk-able. I absolutely recommend renting some bikes to experience the city as locals do. A must see or do I think would be a picnic lunch at the Royal Gardens and a stroll in the pedestrian walk ways on Stroget. Good luck with the planning! http://www.minitraveler.ca
